Quality Enhancement
In 2007 the Quality Enhancement Unit was established following a separation of quality related responsibilities from the Strategic Planning and Quality function within the Office of Strategy and Planning. This reorganisation was to ensure a dedicated resource to support the many quality initiatives across Curtin and to support the preparation for the AUQA audit.
In 2008 we have seen the development of a series of quality enhancement policies and procedures designed to further enhance the University's activities namely the revised Quality Management Procedures, the School and Area Reviews Policy and the Benchmarking at Curtin Policy. Please refer to the links below to view these quality enhancement policies and procedures.
Further developments within the Quality Unit will ensure that the following activities are managed and / or coordinated through this Unit:
| 1. | Co-ordination of quality enhancement activities across the University |
| 2. | On-going development and roll-out of the Curtin Quality Framework |
| 3. | School and Area Reviews - overall coordination and facilitation |
| 4. | Monitoring and follow up of Professional Accreditations and Reviews |
| 5. | Benchmarking of both processes and outcomes; workshops to be established |
| 6. | Facilitation of process improvement activities |
| 7. | Ad-hoc quality reviews of organisational units / areas (as requested by the VC) |
| 8. | Regional program quality reviews, eg: Geraldton and Albany |
| 9. | AUQA: monitoring of Recommendations from the 2008 audit and ongoing preparation for subsequent external audits |
| 10. | Executive support for the Quality Management Steering Committee |
