Market and Institutional Research
The Market and Institutional Research team (MIR) manages the qualitative and quantitative research activities in Curtin, and provides organisational performance and market data to drive the strategy and operational decisions of the University.
MIR is responsible for managing annual government funded projects, for example, the Quality Indicator of Learning and Teaching (QILT) suite of surveys including the Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS), the Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ), and the Student Experience Survey (SES). MIR also runs institutional projects throughout the year, such as the Ngalang Waangi - Our Voice staff survey.
Information derived from these surveys is analysed by the MIR team and made available for internal users. eVALUate is Curtin's online system for students to give feedback on their units and their teachers and is managed by the MIR team (effective March 2017). Please email evaluate@curtin.edu.au with any enquiries or visit the eVALUate website.
MIR also plays a role in minimising survey fatigue among Curtin's student and staff population through the Survey Approvals Process.
